Dustin Hall

A few years ago, Dustin’s life was deeply entangled in drugs and gang involvement. That path eventually caught up with him in a devastating way when he was shot in the face as a direct result of the life he was living. The trauma initially pushed him even deeper into addiction, but about 20 months ago everything began to change. While incarcerated and approaching his release date, Dustin reached out to a friend who worked in the recovery field. That single phone call became a turning point. With her help, he entered a sober living home where he spent eight months beginning the process of rebuilding his life.
During that time, Dustin connected with a Peer Recovery Coach from Freedom Recovery who believed in him long before he believed in himself. With steady support and encouragement, he began transforming his life piece by piece. Today Dustin serves as a full time Peer Recovery Coach and Qualified Behavioral Health Assistant (QBHA) with Freedom Recovery, using his lived experience to guide and encourage others facing similar struggles. With a stable life, a clear mind, and a renewed sense of purpose, Dustin is committed to helping others break free from the chains of addiction while continuing to give back to the community that helped him find hope and healing.
