Rainbow

My name is Rainbow, and I truly believe I have found my calling in peer coaching and serving my brothers and sisters in our community. My passion for this work comes from lived experience, resilience, and a deep commitment to helping others find hope, healing, and purpose.
I have struggled with addiction since the age of 13 and have experienced profound loss throughout my life. I lost my son at the age of 16 to an overdose, and I also lost my mother to suicide after she battled depression, addiction, and mental health challenges for many years. I have also had my own encounters with the legal system and have watched many loved ones spend years incarcerated. These experiences have given me firsthand insight into the pain, trauma, and barriers that so many individuals and families face.
Rather than allowing my past to define me, I chose to let it shape my purpose. That is why I pursued a career as a Peer Coach and QBHA professional—to be part of the solution. My goal is to walk alongside individuals who are struggling with addiction, homelessness, mental health challenges, and involvement with the justice system, offering understanding without judgment because I have lived many of those same realities.
I believe there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how dark life may seem. My mission is to help others rediscover hope, rebuild their lives, and realize that recovery and healing are possible. By sharing my story and standing beside those who need support, I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves and know they are never alone.
